How to migrate Pan/SQL 2.4C into CA CSM and APPLY maintenance

Issue/Introduction

This document describes in details how to migrate Pan/SQL 2.4C into CA CSM and how to APPLY maintenance.

Resolution

While it is not possible to install Pan/SQL 2.4C via CA CSM, it is possible to apply maintenance to Pan/SQL 2.4C via CA CSM.
 
Prerequisites:

• Before doing the following migration, I recommend to ACCEPT the Pan/SQL FMIDs.
• First of all I recommend to right click on "11.6" and select "Update Product Release" here:

CSM will get all PTFs that way.
 
 
1. Click "Migrate SMP/E Environment" in CA CSM

2. Enter a name of your choice and your CSI DSN and click "Next"

3. click "Next" at "Installed Functions"
 
4. If not all entries are "valid" here:

get the DDDEFs from the *.SAMPJCL(CAINITE) member.
 
5. click "Next"
 
6. click "Next" at "File Systems"
 
7. click "Next" at "Zone Prefixes"
 
8. click "Next" at "Advanced Settings"
 
9. click "Migrate"
