Issue/Introduction

Is there any risk in disabling SSLv3 for SQL on port 1433 or will disabling it break CA Privileged Identity Manager

Environment

CA PIM 12.X and 14.X

Resolution

SSL V3 is not used to connect to the SQL RDBMS. Only in FIPS Regular mode do we use SSL V3 for client/server communication (shared password between ENTM and EP). Therefore, SSL v3 can be safely disabled at the SQL server without risk of breaking CA PIM
