Updating the Report Snapshot Database Connection in Identity Manager

Issue/Introduction

This article describes the steps to update the reporting database connection settings in Identity Manager following a migration to a new database server.

Environment

• Product: CA Identity Manager
• Version: 14.5, 15.0

Resolution

To point the Identity Manager environment to a new report snapshot database, perform the following steps:

1. Log in to the Identity Manager Environment User Interface.
2. Navigate to Reports > Snapshot Tasks.
3. Select Manage Snapshot Database Connection.
4. Click Modify Snapshot Database.
5. Update the database URL, credentials, and connection settings to point to the new server.
6. Save the changes.
7. Verify the new connection to ensure the Identity Manager environment can successfully communicate with the new database server.
