In Spectrum how do I revert any customized events back to the Out of Box state
Release: Any
Component:
To revert Spectrum events to a default Out Of Box state you delete the "custom" event entries in the $SPECROOT/custom/Events folders.
1. Delete the Event Format file in the $SPECROOT/custom/Events/CsEvFormat directory
2. If the event generates an alarm, delete the Probable Cause file in the $SPECROOT/custom/Events/CsPCause directory
3. Remove the entry in the $SPECROOT/custom/Events/EventDisp file
4. If the event is trap based, remove the entry in the $SPECROOT/custom/Events/AlertMap file
NOTE: In a Distributed SpectroSERVER (DSS) or Fault Tolerant environment, this will need to be done on all SpectroSERVER and OneClick systems in the environment.
Update the Event Configuration:
SpectroSERVER:
1. Log into OneClick as an ADMIN user
2. Find and select the VNM model
3. Click on the Information tab in the Component Detail panel
4. Find and expand the SpectroSERVER Control subview
5. Click on the Update Event Configuration button
NOTE: This will need to be done for all VNM models in the environment
OneClick:
1. Log into the OneClick web pages as an ADMIN user
2. Click on the Administration link
3. Click on the Update Event and Alarm Files link
4. Click on the Reload button
NOTE: This will need to be done on all OneClick and Spectrum Report Manager (SRM) systems
NOTE: User should log out of OneClick and log back into OneClick to see the changes.
