Issue/Introduction

In View, many old physical tapes copy to new tapes using SARPAC program. Is it possible to run more than 1 SARPAC job concurrently against a single View database? 

Resolution

No, It is not possible to run multiple SARPACs at the same time against the same database. Doing so, one will receive SARPAC03 error message, which indicates: 

1. You are trying to run multiple SARPACs with the same DB HLQ name causing the Master Index to be locked. Only 1 SARPAC can run at a time. 

2. You are running a SARPAC at the same time as the backup cycle.
