Issue/Introduction

The FTP file transfer of the Database Management for Db2 for z/OS product pax file to an MVS dataset fails with the EZA2802I "data was truncated" message.  

Cause

Product PAX files need to be FTPd to either a PC directory or a z/OS USS directory, and not to an MVS file.

Resolution

The FTP transfer of the DB2 Tools product PAX file proved successful when storing it to the PC or directly to the z/OS USS directory.
