Issue/Introduction
Is it necessary to recompile RCMs, COBOL programs, recreate ACCESS MODULEs, and/or regenerate the dialogs after converting a catalog to update the SQL definitions?
Environment
Release: All supported releases.
Component: IDMS SQL Option.
Resolution
No, it is not necessary to recompile programs, RCMs or AMs after executing command CONVERT CATALOG, unless there are programs that access any of the entities in the catalog being altered.
