Is rebuilding the security exit required for z/OS 2.3 upgrade after applying Sysview for Db2 PTF SO00484

Issue/Introduction

Sysview Performance Management Option for Db2 for z/OS (IDB2) PTF SO00484 is needed for 8 character TSO IDs which is new with z/OS 2.3.
The HOLDDATA for the PTF says to rebuild the security exit. Is the rebuilding of the security exit required if 8 characters TSO ID is not being used?

Resolution

Rebuilding the IDB2 security exit is not required after applying the PTF. The updated security that comes with the PTF will be used automatically.
