Module EE0DBP not found when trying to open databases

Issue/Introduction

We have created a new CA View database in one of our customers LPAR with new CA View version 14.0. When we are trying to open the new database we receive an error message displaying module EE0DBP is missing. When we open try to open the new database we receive system abend code 806 and reason code 04. Looking into the log we found this following notification: CSV003I REQUESTED MODULE EE0DBP NOT FOUND CSV028I ABEND806-04 JOBNAME=V066603 STEPNAME=LOGXA We have tested witht the following: Removed and reinstalled the database in the affected LPAR Rebuilt the CA View installation for this LPAR

Cause

This error is caused when an old version of the CA Deliver module RMOGAM attempts to call module EBCDBP and fails.


 

Resolution

In this case Ca Deliver was upgraded to the latest release which installed the latest version of RMOGAM.

Check and make sure that an older version of Ca Deliver module RMOGAM is not being picked up in a linklisted library.
