Issue/Introduction

How to isolate CA Detector® for DB2 for z/OS and CA Subsystem Analyzer for DB2 for z/OS data collectors to a specific Xmanager

We try to follow your recommendation to isolate CA Detector® for DB2 for z/OS and CA Subsystem Analyzer for DB2 for z/OS data collectors to a specific Xmanager.
However, can you tell us the changes we need to implement for the JCL as well as for the parameters of the 2 Xmanagers (the tradiional one, and the new one dedicated to the data collectors) please.
Moreover, we are in a SYSPLEX with 2 members.

Environment

z/os DB2

Resolution

You need to review the documentation on Execute Multiple Xmanagers here is a link
https://docops.ca.com/ca-database-management-solutions-for-db2-for-z-os/20/en/installing/complete-product-configuration/execute-product-specific-tailoring/customize-xmanager/execute-multiple-xmanagers
It details what needs to be modified and configured To run multiple versions of Xmanager and related products, configure each as follows:
Modify the Xmanager JCL Modify the XMANID Modify the CLIST Copy the Xmanager JCL to the Started Task Library Example

Also review Isolate Data Collectors here is a link https://docops.ca.com/ca-database-management-solutions-for-db2-for-z-os/20/en/installing/complete-product-configuration/execute-product-specific-tailoring/customize-xmanager/execute-multiple-xmanagers#ExecuteMultipleXmanagers-isolate

This should supply all the information you need to run multiple Xmanagers on your system
