Issue/Introduction

With the CA Performance Management (CAPM) and CA Spectrum products integrated, inventory from Spectrum is synchronized to CAPM.

The synchronization occurs when Spectrum device models are added to CAPM Domain based Global Collections.

When a device is deleted from Spectrum, or it's membership in the CAPM Domain based Global Collection is removed, that device is removed from CA Performance Management as being contributed from the CA Spectrum integration.

If that device was also discovered in the Data Aggregator it still appears as a managed device in CAPM.

How can the device be removed from the Data Aggregator at the same time?

Environment

All supported CA Performance Management releases r3.6.x and older integrated with CA Spectrum

Resolution

In the CAPM to Spectrum integration at this time we do not have a way to delete a device from the DA when it's removed from Spectrum.

We do have Life Cycle state sync. When a device is deleted in Spectrum, it syncs a Retired state to PC, so the DA item should stop polling and be marked Retired also.

Additional Information

Alternative solution: Manually delete the device(s) from the DA Inventory Views.
