Issue/Introduction

We have to convert a pds to a pdse. Can I run BSTXCOPY just to test how it works, or does it require immediate usage of the PDS/E after running the job?

My main concern is that if I run this job just to see how it works, that it might update some flags in modules that would render the 'old' library (the PDS) no longer valid.

Environment

z/OS
All supported versions of Endevor

Resolution

There is no problem running BSTXCOPY to just test the utility.
BSTXCOPY is does not set any flags in the PDS or in Endevor meta data files that indicate the library has been converted.
