Issue/Introduction

MTX016 abend occurred while a sysadmin ID was issuing repeated MAP and MANAGE commands.

Resolution

An MTX016 abend is an out-of-storage condition and can occur when there is automation issuing SMSGs to the VMSECURE server, one right after another at a fast and furious pace.   In this instance, multiple MAP and MANAGE commands were being sent to the server.   

SMSG is not intended for a programming interface and is not a good tool to use for automation.  If you absolutely must use, WAIT or SLEEP a few seconds in between SMSGs.
