Syntax error on ASF Apache 2.4 startup on RHEL

Issue/Introduction

 In the environment of the configuration of ASF Apache 2.4 + Web Agent R 12.51 CR 10 + RedHat 7.4, it failed to start up.

Newly installed WebAgentR12.51 CR10 in customer environment When starting Apache, the following error occurred and it was not able to start.

September 05 16:10:22 xalsapp 2 apachectl [20633]: httpd: Syntax error on line 199 of /opt/httpd/apache-YH/conf/httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 10 of / opt / httpd / apache- YH / conf / SiteMinderApache.conf: Can not load /opt/netegrity/webagent/bin/libmod_sm24.so into server: libsmerrlog.so: can not open shared object file: No such file or directory

When setting up similarly another environment with RedHat 7.3, it started without error.

Also, "libmod_sm24.so" exists under "/ opt / netegrity / webagent / bin /".

Environment

Web Agent R 12.51 CR 10
ASF Apache 2.4
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.4

Resolution

It was found that the conflicts of file permission between ASF Apache installation and Web Agent installation.

SGID (Set Group ID up on execution) was different.
a) ASF Apache bin directory:
-rwxrws--- 1 root apache 3452 Jul 20 14:40 apachectl
-rwxrws--- 1 root apache 1428 Sep 21 15:26 envvars
b) Web Agent bin directory:
-rwxrwxr-x 1 root root 2623323 Jan 12 2017 libmod_sm24.so
 
After resolving the permission conflict, ASF Apache 2.4 Web Agent started up successfully.
