Issue/Introduction

Policyfetcher process is restart automatically.
Is the process restarted under any circumstances?

Environment

UNIX/Linux
CA PIM 12.8SP1

Resolution

The policyfetcher process is restarted automatically according to the following situation.

Please check the following tokens in $SEOSDIR/seos.ini file.

endpoint_heartbeat = default value(6 hours)

check_deployment_tasks = default value(3600 seconds)

3600 seconds is 1 hour.

endpoint_heartbeat * 10 * check_deployment_tasks = 60 hours.

So the process is restarted every 60 hours.

policyfetcher terminates every 60 hours by default described above and is restarted by seoswd 10 minutes interval by default.

The interval can be changed by seoswd.polifetcher_refresh_interval token.

Additional Information

$SEOSDIR is the installation directory of CA PIM.
