Issue/Introduction

The following error is seen when trying to start the SpectroSERVER on Linux:

/opt/CA/SharedComponents/CAPKI/CAPKI5/Linux/amd64/64/lib/libcapki.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Could not open CAPKI shared library, errno is 0, errmsg is /opt/CA/SharedComponents/CAPKI/CAPKI5/Linux/amd64/64/lib/libcapki.so: cannot open shared o                                bject file: No such file or directory

Environment

Release: All Supported Releases
Component: SPCCSS - SpectroSERVER Core

Resolution

Verify the CAPKIHOME parameter is correct in the /opt/SPECTRUM/spectrum80.env file.

If not correct, make the proper change and then restart all of the Spectrum process to pick up on the change.

If the CAPKI directory is missing:

1. If you have another Linux system running the same exact Spectrum version, you can copy the CAPKI directory and files from the other system to this system. Then, restart all of the Spectrum processes.

2. If you do not have another system, re-run the last base Spectrum install version. Ensure the CAPKI directory is there. Then reinstall any post debug, PTF or BMP patches. Reference the $SPECROOT/Install-Tools/.history file for this information.

Additional Information

If you are still not able able to recover the CAPKI directory and files, please contact Spectrum Support for assistance.
