Issue/Introduction

The Agent has been installed on a system but does not start up.

QPJOBLOG and DUMP and in DUMP file of the Agent Job execution:

and a SIGABRT signal is traced one of the dumpfile

Environment

OS400 V7R2 
 

Cause

For some reason, the agent is not able to resolve the hostname of the host and crashes.

Resolution

The workaround consists of populating either Host file or DNS with Hostame and IP of the system. To add a new entry into the hostfile instruction ADDTCPHTE can be used. 

The issue is under investigation by DEV for a fix
