Issue/Introduction

We have Service Desk Manager 17 running on windows server and Tomcat We want to use active directory credentials (user and password) in order to access to Service Desk Manager. We need assistance about how to do it.

Environment

Service Desk Manager 17.x

Resolution

CA SDM's authentication module bopauth_nxd/boplgin is able to do native External Authentication against users that belong to the Windows Domain that the Windows host/server belongs to.
configure-ca-service-desk-manager-setting-up-security-user-authentication

If you need to use distinct LDAP that the Windows host/server belongs to, you need to integrate SDM with EEM:
configure-ca-service-desk-manager-setting-up-security
