Are there any known compatibility issues with the IBM DS8884 or disk encryption with CA TeleView for z/OS?

Issue/Introduction

We are planning for the installation of an IBM DS8884 disk storage system with the objective of eventually activating disk encryption for all mainframe systems.

Are there any known compatibility issues with the IBM DS8884 or disk encryption with CA TeleView for z/OS?

Resolution

Teleview is not hardware dependent and so long as the encryption is managed independently of the product, there should be no problems for Teleview. 

We have had no reported problems with DS8884 and Teleview.
