Issue/Introduction

Starting CA PDSMAN and receive following message: CCSR010E PDSMSUBT S80A at 02E4AFD8 LMOD PDS#RSUB CSECT PDSMLIST. 
 
How is this resolved? CA PDSMAN task will not start.

Resolution

The problem is REGION based. The S80A abend is a REGION error. There are so many other tasks starting at the same time, probably after an IPL, that the REGION was used by several started tasks. CA PDSMAN should be started with a REGION=0M so it will acquire all the initialization space it requires to load its dynamic hooks and initialize the database.
