UIM connector is offline

Issue/Introduction

I build a SOI environment and integrated with UIM. The connector was working earlier but suddenly it stopped working.

Environment

SOI 4.2
UIM Connector version 3.9.0
 

Cause

- The following error in the CatalystContainer_wrapper.log indicates the connector is unable to read the ModuleInstance value in Nimsoftconnector.conf file
   "[InvalidModuleException: errorType=19, message=There is no module instance with ID:" 

 

Resolution

- Edit CA\Catalyst\CatalystConnector\registry\topology\physical\<Host Name>_CatalystConnector\modules\configuration\Nimsoftconnector.conf file
- Search for ModuleInstance property and correct the value
OR
- Copy over the backup Nimsoftconnector.conf and replace the corrupted file with the good one.
