Issue/Introduction

When I try to access a Web Portal using the PAM Browser from one workstation, the following error message appears:

"Alternate HTML content should be placed here. This content requires the Adobe Flash Player. Get Flash"

However, if I log in to the PAM client on another computer, the web portal can be successfully accessed.
Can the PAM Browser execution be affected by the software installed on the workstation it is running on?

The significant software installed on the working computer is:
  • Adobe Flash Player 26 PPAPI
  • Adobe Flash Player 28 ActiveX
  • Java 8 Update 181
  • Java 8 Update 181 (64-bit)
  • Java SE Development Kit 7 Update 25 (64-bit)

And the software installed on the non-working computer is:
  • Adobe Flash Player 15 Plugin
  • Adobe Flash Player 28 ActiveX
  • Java 8 Update 181
  • Java 8 Update 181 (64-bit)
  • Java SE Development Kit 8 Update 144 (64-bit)

Why cannot I access some Web Portals from within PAM on one computer while I can from another one?

Environment

Any Hardware or Virtual appliance running PAM server 2.x or 3.x

Resolution

It seems that having locally installed the PPAPI version of Adobe Flash Player can help when accessing via PAM browser some Web Portals embedding Flash content.

Additional Information
