Issue/Introduction

Sysview Performance Management Option for Db2 for z/OS (IDB2) Data Collector shows the error:
DBG46001E IXCMSGO ERROR FOR DC GROUP xxxxxxxx, RETC=00000004, REASC=00000401

Is this something to be concerned about?  

Cause

The IXCMSGO ERROR FOR DC GROUP xxxxxxxx, RETC=00000004, REASC=00000401 states that a 'Send' message is pending.
If the initial 'send' to the target cannot execute immediately, subsequent 'send' attempts will occur through XCF until the TIMEOUT value expires. 

Resolution

The IXCMSGO ERROR FOR DC GROUP xxxxxxxx, RETC=00000004, REASC=00000401 message(s) occurred due to an immediate 'Send' message pending.
However, subsequent attempts to send the pending message proved successful.  Thus, the DBG46001E error can be ignored.
