Issue/Introduction

How can you move tasks in CA Project & Portfolio Management (PPM) or Open Workbench (OWB)?

Resolution

In OWB:

1. Highlight the entire row for the task you want to move (This can be done by clicking on the row # in OWB (IE 3 for task 3 on the list)
2.  Left click with your mouse, and drag the task to the desired spot in the project

In PPM, you can also use the PPM Gantt to move a task:

1. In PPM, go to the project
2. Click on the Tasks tab
3. From the Tasks tab drop down, select Gantt
4. Check the check box next to the task you want to move
5. Click the Up arrow icon in the Gantt menu (This is the move icon)
6. Click the radio button next to the task you want to move it next to and click 'Insert Before' or 'Insert After' as appropriate
