Issue/Introduction
Unable to start the Introscope Enterprise Manager.
The process crashes as soon as it starts.
/etc/init.d/caEMCtrl stop: Enterprise Manager stopped

Why does the EM fail to start and give the JVM message?

Environment
APM 10.7
Resolution
Corrupted Smartstor Database causes the issue.
To resolve this:
- Rename <EM_Home>\ data folder;
- Afterwards, you should be able to restart the EM
