Issue/Introduction
Informational request for Easytrieve compatibility with IBM APAR OA54807.
Researching if Easytrieve Plus and Easytrive Plus/IMS will be impacted or requires maintenance to support a z/OS APAR. IBM has released the z/OS maintenance for the Meltdown/Spectre CPU Vulnerability. One APAR OA54807 has holddata that requires that all ISV products be contacted, to make check if they need maintenance to support this APAR.

Resolution
Our Easytrieve Sustaining Engineers did a parallel test with the IBM maintenance (APAR OA54807), and can report the following;
Easytrieve was tested for the Spectre/Meltdown impact. The impact was minimal, about 1% additional CPU usage. No problems were encountered.
