Issue/Introduction

How can I display the level of the JES2 checkpoint file to determine if our system  has 6 digit job numbering capabilities?

Environment

Release:
Component: ROSCOE

Resolution

Issue the JES2 "$d activate" command. JES will return the $HASP895 message indicating that the JES2 checkpoint File is either in OS/390 Release 4 mode or is in z/OS 1.2 or higher mode. You can change the mode of the checkpoint file by issuing the JES "$ACTIVATE" command. JES2 restricts use of this command; consult the JES2 Commands Guide for full information.

    e.g.     $activate,level=R4
