Issue/Introduction

We have had some our database passwords expire, and therefore they have been changed, When I try to log in to ARD repository it shows the error message below:

Could not log into the specified TDoD service with the specified user name and password.
TDoD service reported the following error: Fault code s:Client: Operation: GTService.Constructor: Error executing: SELECT sys_rep_ver, sys_licences, sys_analyse_rep, sys_gui_ver, sys_auto_details, sys_allow_upgrade FROM gtrep_system:\r\nORA-1017: invalid username/password; logon denied

Even after changing the password from TD Datamaker, I am still seeing this error message.

Resolution

When you request to open or save a flow to the repository, ARD makes a call to TDoD, which uses the predefined user credentials to log into the TDM Repository.
 
I would like to have you test the TDoD configuration to make sure the stored credentials are correct for TDoD.
 
To verify the credentials from a TDoD standpoint:

  1. Navigate to the TDM server
  2. Open a File Explorer, and go to c:\Grid-Tools\TDoD\TDoD_ConfigEditor
  3. Launch the TDoDConfigEditor application. The TDoD Config Editor dialog opens.
  4. Change the configuration to use the new password for the gtrep database.
  5. Click the “Verify” button to verify TDoD can authenticate to the repository database.
  6. Click the "Save" button  to  save the change to the configuration
