Resolution

You may avoid recycling CA Roscoe when draining a spool volume by using the OPR SPOOL command to free a spool allocation from CA Roscoe.

OPERATOR SPOOL

Function: Displays status of spool volumes allocated to CA ROSCOE.

Syntax:

<OPERATOR> SPOOL <FREE ddname> With no operand, displays the status of all spool volumes allocated to CA-ROSCOE under MVS/JES2 and MVS/JES3 Global. FREE ddname 1- to 8-character DD name of the JES2 spool volume to be deallocated.
