Unable to create metric that existed in previous versions of the Contract

Issue/Introduction
When trying to create a metric that does not exist in the current version of the contract, but did in a previous one, saving the metric triggers the following error message: "A metric by the same name already exists. Please enter a different name".
Why is this the case, if the metric has been removed?

Resolution
The system works this way by design - the metric has to still exist in the database as part of the previous contract version definition.
However, while the system won't allow the same contract to have a metric of the same name in a later version, it is possible to create a duplicate version of the contract, and add it to that new contract - this would effectively achieve the new metric name.
