Issue/Introduction

Why is the search on a string failing for a CA JMR search of a joblog? The search works well on the system where CA JMR is active but fails on the system where CA JMR is not active.

CA JMR 4.6

Resolution

CA JMR utilizes the active started task on the system it is executing to resolve locate searches for DAILY files and ARCHIVE files. If a CA JMR system task is not executing on the LPAR or system where any searches are being performed, then some of the required files for the search will be located and utilized.
 
Searches must be performed on active CA JMR systems. A CA JMR started task must be executing.
