What is an Unmanaged trap? An what is unmanaged trap handling used for in Spectrum?

DX NetOps Spectrum all currently supported releases

Resolution

Unmanaged traps are unsolicited traps that are sent to the SpectroSERVER for devices that are not modeled in SPECTRUM.  These traps are generated on the VNM model.  If the traps are needed, you can then map the traps in SPECTRUM. 

You can enable or disable unmanaged trap handling from the VNM model sub view Trap Management:
