Environment

UUJMA 11.2 SP2 on RedHat 6.2

Cause

On this RedHat server, there was no memory issue and all the ulimit settings were set to unlimited

There was not file system full condition and there was plenty space in the /tmp directory

swap space was also large enough

The cause of this problem was due to the RPM database which was corrupt

Resolution

Problem fixed by rebuilding the Linux RPM database with:

rpm --rebuilddb
