selected value which having special character comma in select field changed to ~~ on save and in the emails

Issue/Introduction

selected value  in select dropdown  field changes  from , to ~~ on save or submit or in request notification email , not able to process any tickets that have .

Environment

catalog 17.1 , catalog 17.1 with rollup1 patch 

Cause

It was  a  bug in catalog 17.1 or 17.1 rollup1 

Resolution

1.  This bug was addressed by the  testfixes  T6D9397  +  T6D9404 .   Please open a support case to obtain T6D9397 and T6D9404 . 
T6D9397  and T6D9404 were built on top of  17.1 rollup1 + T6D9385 + T6D9388  .   You need to make sure your catalog system  applied 17.1 rollup1 and T6D9385  and  T6D9388 already before you can apply  T6D9397 and then T6D9404

2. the fixes  for this problem will be included into 17.1 rollup2 which is going to be available 4th quarter  of 2018
