What determines if a resource or investment is inactive on out of the box Jaspersoft reports?

Resolution

There is a boolean attribute both on the resource and investment objects that is used to determine if the resource/investment is active or inactive. This field is the 'Active' field. 

Other custom and out of the box attributes are not taken into account when determining this for out of the box reporting purposes.
