adding a new matrix row: REVMGR-20187:Resource code is not valid

Issue/Introduction

I am trying to add a new row in the rate matrix for a Resource whose Resource Code is XXXXX.

When I try to save the record, it gives me this error message: REVMGR-20187:Resource code is not valid.

The employee is active and there was no problem with his code when another row matrix was created for him.

Cause

This error pops up when you try to define a row in the matrix for a resource whose resource class is different than what you have defined. 

This can also happen if the resource is not financially active

 

Resolution

Ensure the resource is financially active

Change the resource class from the Resource profile to the one you specified on the rate matrix or configure the rate in the matrix to show the appropriate resource class.
