How to change the etaadmin global user password

Issue/Introduction

The etaadmin global user is similar to a built-in superuser account. You set a password for this user when the Provisioning Server is installed.

Some security scenarios may arise (for example compromised or lost passwords) where you need to change the password for the eTGlobal User (etaadmin).

Resolution

To change the eTGlobal User (etaadmin) password follow the steps below:

1) Export ProvStore and UserStore xml from the IM Management console.
2) Go to Provisioning Manager and change the eTGlobal User etaadmin password to a new password.
3) Generate the new hash using keytool.bat utility paste it in to provstore xml and import the xml.
4) Do the same for user store.
5) Now you can start the environment.
