Issue/Introduction

Client Automation allows you to deploy agents to machines with no agents.

For environments with slower networks or connection speeds the deployment of agents to remote machines can fails with timeout errors.

How do you increase the timeouts for agent deployments, in Infrastructure Deployment ?

Environment

CA Client Automation - All Versions

Resolution

The deployment timeout is controlled by 3 policies in the DSM->Manager->Infrastructure Deployment section:

Job failure timeout interval:

Maximum number of minutes of inactivity to wait until a deploymentjob is assumed to have failed.

The default value is 120 minutes.

Message Delivery timeout interval:

Maximum number of minutes of inactivity to wait until a message is deemed to have failed to be delivered.

The default value is 2 minutes.

Primer install timeout interval:

Maximum number of minutes to wait for acknowledgement of a successful DMPrimer installation.

The default value is 10 minutes.

Increase the value of these three policies to suit your environment.
