Autosys autoping command CAUAJM_E_50283 AutoPing from the Application Server WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL

Issue/Introduction

I have a fresh new installation of Autosys on Linux

When I perform an autoping on the agent  hosted on the same node as the application server and scheduler, I get the following result : 

$ autoping -machine


CAUAJM_I_50023 AutoPinging Machine [machine] 
CAUAJM_I_50280 AutoPing from the Scheduler WAS SUCCESSFUL. 

CAUAJM_E_10229 Communication attempt with the CA WAAE Agent has failed! [machine:10851] 
CAUAJM_E_50283 AutoPing from the Application Server WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL. 

CAUAJM_E_50026 ERROR: AutoPing WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL. 
 

Environment

Cause

During an autoping command against a System Agent, the connectivity between the scheduler and application server is checked.

This connectivity is done based on the AutoServerId parameter which is defined in the Autosys configuration file ($AUTOUSER/config.$AUTOSERV)

If this entry is not properly set, you'll get this error

 

Resolution

Removed extra characters which were present at the end of the AutoServerId option in file $AUTOUSER/config.$AUTOSERV
