Some alarms show an incorrect hostname.  The robot name may be correct. However, the hostname is wrong.

The nas probe will try to use DNS, WINS, naming services to match the IP address listed in an alarm with a hostname.

If DNS or WINS is not configured correctly, there may be cases where alarms will show an incorrect hostname.

- UIM 8.51
- nas probe version 9.0
- Windows or Linux

In your "nas" configuration, under "Name Services" > "Properties"
you have "Use Default Name-Resolution. DNS, WINS, etc..".
You can deselect this, and leave "use NMS RobotName as Hostname (if available)" if you prefer to see the robot name in the alarm.

<Please see attached file for image>

Disable DNS WINS nas probe
So, the alarm will use the Robot Name for the Hostname on the alarm.
