TMSCLEAN not keeping OAM in sync when using Luminex device

Issue/Introduction

Now that the Luminex device is installed the TMC and OAM are not staying in SYNC.  The TMC says a tape is scratch, but OAM shows it as PRIVATE.  Running CTSSYNC does resolve the problem but takes up to 4 hours to complete.  Is there a way to do this without running CTSSYNC?

Resolution

Be sure the ROBTY is being set to VIBM via CBRUXENT as you define the tapes to Luminex.  If it is not set you can use TMSUPDTE to REP the ROBTY to 81.
Check TMOOPTxx and make sure that ROBSCR is set to YES, and SCRTCH is set to no (if it only contains logic to notify OAM of the scratch).  If you are using TMSXTIS for other security changes then remove the logic to notify OAM and you can leave SCRTCH set to YES.
