Is it possible to change the state of a parent User Story on the Rally Team Board page?

Resolution

• Resolution
  • It is not possible to change the state of a Parent User Story on the Rally Team Board page manually.
    • This is because the Parent User Story Schedule State and Flow State are determined by the lowest Schedule State of its Child User Stories.  
      • The Parent User Story Schedule State is automatically changed when its Child Stories move across the board
    • This is an expected behavior on the Team Board page.

• Helpful hints:
  • Filter out parent User Stories by applying Direct children count = 0 in the page filters
    • This will remove any Parent User Stories from the Board View
  • Add the Parent information to each card on the Team Board "Board" view.  To do this:
    • Select the "Show Fields" button on the main Board view page
    • Select the "Parent" field from the drop-down menu.  This will display the Parent User Story on each card.
