Issue/Introduction

Description:

After upgrading CA Common Services, my CA Earl application using the DB2 Interface (EARLSQL) is failing with:

 SQL FIKA     SQL SELECT FAILED                                          
 SQL FLAG:- SQLCODE   hex: FFFFFCCE, dec:      -818
 SQL FIKA     SQLERRM IS: 143E08280C4F6DFC 168FCDD412D0CE24 CAISSQL3
 SQL FIKA     DISCONNECT DB2,SQLDS SQL

Resolution

The SQL error is caused when the SQI component DB2 DBRM modules are missing. Starting with CA Common Services r11 SP4, a number of previously separate components were combined into one. The SQI component DB2 DBRM modules CAISSQL3, CAISSQL2, and CAISSQL9 are installed via the FMID CAG3000 (CA Viewpoint).

The CA Viewpoint component FMID CAG3000 now is a combination of components that were provided in previous CA Common Services levels. The previous FMIDs were:

 Viewpoint      (CWC2000)
 SQI            (CSP2300)
 CBASE Mapper   (CF62300)
 CBASE Common   (CIF2300)
 CBASEX         (CAG2300)
 CBASE Template (CTB2300)
 CBASE Help     (CBS2300)

Also, note that the BIND job for the SQI is in the CA Common Services r11 SAMPJCL member SP23BIND.
