Can CA Spectrum be integrated with ServiceNow?

When performing the integration, if leveraging REST services, can it be accomplished without using a REST POST call?

Resolution

Upgrade to r10.2.3 to obtain full support for a programmatic Service Now integration with Spectrum.

Prior to the r10.2.3 release of Spectrum there was no official or supported ServiceNow integration with Spectrum. It was done one your own, or via CA Services. It leveraged REST based XML to function. It was difficult to configure and maintain.

Due to the heavy use of REST to function, it does require POST access to function properly.

As of the r10.2.3 release there is an officially supported integration between Spectrum and ServiceNow. Please reference the "Integration with Service Desk" section of the documentation for more information.

It provides UI based integration with ServiceNow. Note that while the page references ServiceDesk, the first screen shot shows when configuring it a new option to select ServiceNow as the target for integration. 

Once the first part is configured, please reference the "Configuring OneClick Notifications for ServiceNow using MID Server" section of the documentation that details the ServiceNow side of the integrations configuration. 

No complex REST calls or need to expose POST access to the environment.
