IDEAL DEBUG command fails with :

Environment

z/OS 
CA IDEAL 

Cause

Prior DEBUG failed which left the DEBUG member in CHECKPOINT/ROLLBACK status. 

Resolution

Edit the DEBUG member and choose CHECKPOINT or ROLLBACK.
Or delete the member and start all over.
