Issue/Introduction

Are 2CM Keys Needed with 3rd Party Change Management products such as Aldon, Implementer, MoM?

Environment

CA 2E 8.7 and higher with CM

Resolution

Yes, customers will have to purchase the 2E CM license even if they are using third party change management tool like Aldon as their Change Management Service(CMS). This would be the case for any CM Tools (Aldon, Implementer, Mom, etc..). All the information from a 2E perspective would still be fed to the desired CMS APIs using the 2E runtime APIs around model object lists built for 2E - CM Integration. If any new vendor wants to write a new Change management solution for CA 2E, they would have to utilize these 2E runtime API's for working with a list of CA 2E based objects.
