Issue/Introduction
What changes are needed for an AE client and agent if the UNIX hostname changes?
For an AE client there is nothing that is required to change if the local host's name is changed.
For an AE agent: Stop the agent process Remove the contents of the agent's database directory Delete and reinsert the agent's machine definition via jil with the correct node_name information If EnableIPCaching=1 on the scheduler, stop and restart the scheduler Restart the agent
NOTE - The $AUTOUSER/autosys.<shell>.<hostname> files can also be changed but it is not required. If they are changed, users need to update their $HOME/.profiles if they were configured to source them. Also adjust the references to the files in the /etc/*profile* and /etc/auto.* files.
