Issue/Introduction

New installation job  BENEW07  using the product installation file  DB12S1609C.AWS  fails with

 1ST BLOCK OF BACKUP FILE IS INVALID. CHECK ASSIGNMENT FOR THE FILE

when restoring the DDMAP backup file by running VLSUTIL.

The DDMAP backup file was created in installation job BEINS010.

No error encountered when running BENEW07  using the DDMAP backup file delivered by the previous installation file ‘DVD10154952E.AWS’.

Cause

Format of the DDMAP backup file is incorrect on product installation AWS  DB12S1609C.AWS.

Environment

CA Datacom 12.0 

Resolution

New installation file DB12S1609D.AWS , which has the correct DDMAP Backup file, to correct this problem  is available for download in CA Support Online Download Center.
