CA Identity Manager: How to Cleanup In-Progress Tasks

Issue/Introduction

You may have a requirement to cancel a number of tasks stuck in-progress that are more than certain number of days. e.g. 1 day old. Wondering if there a stored procedure or other method to delete in-progress tasks from the Task Persistence database?

Resolution

One way to do this is to modify View Submitted Tasks Admin Task then edit the Submitted Tasks tab to mark the checkbox to allow searching on the Task ID. 



With this settings View Submitted Tasks search screen with have Task ID equals search item

You can then see the Task ID if you drill into one of the tasks.
