The customer is planning to use the HAPF product instead of CA Telon. And, they created new TYPE and processor for the HAPF. Then, when they executed the BATCH ADD process, they received the CEE0813S INSUFFICIENT STORAGE message in the compile process(PGM=HP7105C). Also, they specified the REGION=0M. But, the result was the same. What is the cause of this error ?
Environment
z/OS 2.1 HAPF
Cause
In this case, the HAPF program(HP7105C) was created with RMODE 24. Also, the NDVRC1 is RMODE 24 as a design.
First, the NDVRC1 was started and the program is resident under the line(16MB). Next, the HP7105C was started, and it also tried to use memory under the line. But, the HP7105C was not able to get the sufficient memory for execution. Since both products tried to have used the under the line, the HAPF could not secure sufficient memory.
Resolution
This is not a Endevor problem. The customer need to ask to the HAPF vendor about converting the RMODE 24 to ANY.
Additional Information
The customer had the source of the HAPF program, so they changed the RMODE 24 to ANY and tested it. As a result, they were able to avoid this error. And, this vendor seems to have agreed to change the design about RMODE.
